Firstly Sky is not a 🐶! But when people fill in the form they can submit whatever image they like, and this is Sky's dog Bonnie who is now in doggy heaven 💕 A huge thanks to Sky for sharing a bit of what life is like as a vertical director, and the many varied jobs he has done within the industry.

What is your favourite project you have worked on so far?
The Heiress Blacklisted Her Husband.
What is the craziest thing you have found yourself doing while working on a vertical?
Directing two scenes in the same location at the same time. Or directing a 15 page scene, with 25 actors/extras, stunt sequence, in 2 days.
Any funny stories you can share with us?
Waiting for an airplane to take off in the background to time it with the actors final kiss. Many takes...
Who is your unsung hero? Someone in the industry who should get more credit?
Editors. They can save or break a Vertical series.
What do you wish more people knew about verticals?
It's like any other filmmaking process but on steroids.
What developments would you like to see in the industry in the year ahead?
Main stream writers seeing the potential in Verticals. Adapt film/tv writing to the vertical world.
What are you most proud of?
During the 15 years in the industry, I've worked in all departments profesionally. Actor, Photographer, Editor, Cinematographer, Gaffer, Camera Assist, Boom Operator. All that experience gave me confidence to become a writer/Director.
Which vertical actor would you like to play you in the biopic of your life?
Me (I'm an actor, but don't need to act) and producers can save money on hiring an actor, I'll do it for free.
Some Random Facts About You:
I was destined to be in the film industry because of the following reasons:
I was named after a famous Hong Kong actor.
As a baby born in a refugee camp, we were often used as extras on film sets.
An opening scene of a movie based on true events was based off me and my mother's experience.
Favourite snack:
Yogurt, mix nuts and kiwi fruit all mixed together.
