How did you come across Vertical Dramas?.

What is your favourite project you have worked on so far?
"One Night Stand" (with my step Brother) - this was my 8th Vertical filmed mid December 2024. I enjoyed playing a pivotal role with a character that actually had an arc.
"My Poor Ex-wife is a Heiress." this was my first Vertical filmed June 2024. This was the first vertical for a number of the Vancouver usual suspects that you will see. Including Evan Bacic, Maxx Faganello, Jayda and Noah Stephens, to name a few.
What is the craziest thing you have found yourself doing while working on a vertical?
First day of a recent vertical had me juggling my time between the Intimacy Coordinator for a love scene AND the fight coordinator, and then filming the scenes back to back.
Any funny stories you can share with us?
When everyone is fully aware of the plot holes and strange script translations. Sometimes they are so ridiculous, but you just have to deliver an authentic performance, and try to keep a straight face.
Who is your unsung hero? Someone in the industry who should get more credit?
Grace Zhu (ig graceyuexiao) is a prolific producer who has been involved on most of my shows and someone who has supported me along the way. They have since started their own production company (Budou Films)
What do you wish more people knew about verticals?
Actors get 1 or 2 takes to get it right. It's such a tight shooting schedule that we are moving on to the next shot, and sometimes it's not your best work that makes the final cut. So, when you see some great work, that was an actor that had done their homework work and showed up ready on the first take.
What developments would you like to see in the industry in the year ahead?
Credits!!!! Also, longer shooting schedules and an acceptance of the genre from the mainstream.
What are you most proud of?
My daughter says she is proud of me.
Which vertical actor would you like to play you in the biopic of your life?
Maxx Faganello. My special boy :)

⭐ Born in England, grew up in Australia, but I have lived in Canada since 2000. My natural accent is a fun hybrid of all 3, and easily swayed by whoever I happen to be speaking to.
