What do you do in the Vertical Industry?
Actress!
How did you come across Vertical Dramas?
I took an acting class to make friends and started booking roles, verticals were my first role!
What is your favourite project you have worked on so far?
Deadly Divas - I met my now roommate. It was love at first sight! I also love the one I’m on now because it’s race car themed and everything we're shooting is real!
What is the craziest thing you have found yourself doing while working on a vertical?
On this one, we shot a rain scene, it was so so so heavy rain, and like 13 degrees out. I've never been so cold. I've also been drowned - that was crazy.
Any funny stories you can share with us?
One time the septic system broke at the house cast & crew were sleeping at. The entire downstairs smelled like shit and we kept shooting! lol
Who is your unsung hero? Someone in the industry who should get more credit?
Mahdi Selemeh, he's a 1st AD. He held our show together. His energy is unmatched, it kept me sane!
What do you wish more people knew about verticals?
That they exist lol. They're fun! It's like a real Hollywood set but smaller and quicker (:
What developments would you like to see in the industry in the year ahead?
More adherence to SAG. better pay, safer hours, and most importantly - more diversity in scripts - interesting stories that the vertical space hasn't seen yet.
What are you most proud of?
My achievements continue to surprise me, every day I find out I’m more capable than I thought I was. Just over a year ago, I wasn't an actor. Now I’m acting full time and I make music, it's so cheesy but "anything is possible if you put your mind to it" is one of the truest statements.
Which vertical actor would you like to play you in the biopic of your life?
Taylor Danehower (she would need a wig, but she gets me)
