Robert Keefe
ACTOR
Robert Keefe is one of the first people I connected with because he is from the UK. As am I! It's a whole tea, Paddington Bear, red phone box thing. But he is much more adventurous than I because he moved to LA and thank goodness he did because now he has been in lots of Verticals! He is the lead in Forbidden Love with Kelsey Susino, a doctor in Werewolf drama Incurable Love with Emily Gately and Griffin Blazi Plus he is excellent as Jackson Tiller’s right hand man in more than one project. He is always brilliant, and I can't wait to see some of the new projects he has been sharing BTS of in his stories (make sure you follow his Instagram)
What do you do in the Vertical Industry?
Actor
How did you come across Vertical Dramas?
Castings
What is your favourite project you have worked on so far?
My first as lead, Forbidden Love. I now have fans messaging me asking me to do more leading man roles, which is very much appreciated!
Grateful that I have wrapped a lot of my projects and remained friends with a lot of the other actors and crew.
One mafia projects that gave me a lot of Bond-esque moments and a couple of corporate ones towards the end of 2024.
What is the craziest thing you have found yourself doing while working on a vertical?
In Forbidden Love, there's a scene where my character chugs a glass of red wine. We don't use actual alcohol when filming, but food colouring. By the time we had all of my character's coverage for that scene, my tongue was completely purple, which in certain up-close intimate moments, you can see in the film.
Any funny stories you can share with us?
Intimacy scenes in the shower are always funny to shoot and we do whatever we can before the cameras roll to make each other laugh, and also the many silly ways we find to keep ourselves entertained, see some upcoming BTS on my IG.
Who is your unsung hero? Someone in the industry who should get more credit?
All the crew who work behind the camera.
As actors, we genuinely look better because of all the hard work that crew puts in.
What do you wish more people knew about verticals?
On both sides of the camera, we are all talented individuals, just doing a different format of media. We work hard to provide viewers with a bit of feel-good content and are really appreciative of the fans.
What developments would you like to see in the industry in the year ahead?
New storylines and genres (they are already in the works)
What are you most proud of?
Surviving here on my own for a period of time after moving across the world.
Which vertical actor would you like to play you in the biopic of your life?
I couldn't narrow it down to just one, thankfully l've worked with some very talented leading men and would be honoured by any of them.
